Christmas Shoebox Time!

It's August, but I am thinking about Christmas because our shoebox gifts for the elderly in Romania must ship in October!

No matter where you live, there are several ways you can help with this project that brings such joy to our elderly and frail friends in Romania.

If you live in the Concord, NC, area, you may pick up a plastic shoebox (beginning Sunday, August 25th) at the Missions Marketplace or Missions Corner at Crossroads Church, or you may purchase one.

If you live elsewhere, but would like to donate completed shoeboxes, please contact me for further directions at:
kimagine320(at)gmail.com

If you would like to make a financial donation to help purchase additional items or to assist with shipping costs, you may donate securely online HERE. Be sure to put "Elder Orphan Care" in the comment box. If you'd like to make a donation via check or cash, please contact me for instructions.

The DEADLINE for returning your completed Christmas shoebox is SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th. You may leave your shoebox at Crossroads Church, or contact me for other options.

Suggested items include:

  • Sugar-free hard candy
  • Slipper socks
  • Winter scarves, hats, gloves
  • Travel-size lotion
  • Notepads, ink pens
  • Tissue packets
  • Costume jewelry
  • Small folding fans
  • Combs, brushes
  • Photo of you/your family
  • Financial donations to purchase reusable water bottles & Bible booklets in Romanian

Please include a $5 donation for shipping. You may give cash or make checks payable to “Remember the Children” and note “Elder Orphan Care” in the memo line. Place your donation in an envelope and put it in the box.

The K-6th graders at Crossroads have made colorful Christmas cards that will be added to each shoebox.

The boxes will ship to Romania in October along with medical supplies, winter wear and other needed items. I will have the privilege of traveling to Romania in December to assist in distributing your gifts!

May God bless you for your ongoing support of Elder Orphan Care!

Gratefully,
Kim
