My Thankful Thirty

Three simple steps = blessings without number!

Viorel Pasca receiving another precious soul
Harsh winter weather creates additional expenses in caring for the more than 125 elderly and frail who have been saved from homelessness in western Romania by Viorel Pasca.

In 2006 Viorel and his wife saw a newscast about homeless elderly who had frozen to death on the streets in Oradea. They had several choices: change the channel, turn off the TV, or say, "Someone should do something about that."  Instead they drove to Oradea and found other homeless elderly....and brought them to their home. On my first trip to Romania I fell in love with the 67 people who had been rescued. When I return for my sixth visit November 29th, there will be well over 125.

Because Viorel and Florica put legs on their faith, Elder Orphan Care, an outreach of Remember-the-Children, has been able to partner with them in helping bring shelter, nutrition, medical care, and God's love to those who would otherwise be forgotten.

Viorel's motto is "God will provide." He does not ask for funds. We simply see his labor of love and the great needs, and we respond as God leads.

This month we are excited to offer you the opportunity to partner with Viorel and EOC by participating in "My Thankful Thirty."
